The most effective way to control the sun's heat and glare is to stop it before it enters your window. Once the sun's rays enter they are absorbed and begin to radiate throughout the room in the form of heat. Much like a big shade tree, exterior shading will help reduce your cooling costs, can reduce the load on your air conditioning and will help reduce glare and fading.

Solar Screens are exterior mounted window screens that shade your window. Solar screens provide excellent privacy and added security. At Allstar Tinting and Screens we use Phifer SunTex. Today, Phifer is the World’s largest producer of aluminum and fiberglass screening products.

SunTex exterior shading is made of strong vinyl-coated polyester fabric. Developed originally for use in outdoor furniture, SunTex is mildew and fade and pet resistant. Solar screens are extremely durable and can be cleaned using mild soap and water.

SunTex is available in the following:

• SunTex 90

SunTex 80
Blocks up to 80% of the sun’s heat. SunTex 80 is available in four colors (black, brown, gray, stucco)and may be color coordinated to maintain and enhance the aesthetic values of any exterior.

SunTex 90
Blocks up to 90% of the sun’s heat. SunTex 90 is available in four colors and may be color coordinated to maintain and enhance the aesthetic values of any exterior.
